Works by Stanford University Composers
Ensemble Dal Niente presents works by Stanford University graduate composers in a free-to-the-public evening program at Nichols Hall, followed by a reception. The concert will feature four world premieres for large ensemble, and marks the culmination of a week-long residency between Dal Niente and the Stanford music department.

Northern Illinois University New Music Festival
Erin Gee’s award-winning Mouthpiece series uses non-traditional vocal sounds to construct intricate sonic landscapes. In Mouthpiece 32, written for Dal Niente in 2018, Gee approaches the sound-worlds of specific insects, animals, and plants, mapping insect and human sound-production techniques on to each other to create music that is at once strange, familiar, and new. This program features Mouthpiece 32 along with works by NIU student composers.
